SMALL BUSINESS IT SUPPORT · REMOTE DELIVERY

Plenty of business problems don’t need anyone in the building.

A user locked out of Microsoft 365, business email that stopped syncing, a security tool that needs attention, a workstation fighting a piece of software. For eligible issues, and where remote support is available, we can often handle work like this without a visit. When something genuinely needs hands on the hardware, we’ll say so and get you onto onsite or in-store service instead of burning your time.

Here’s how we help small businesses remotely. For everything else we offer, see Computer Warriors Business IT. Business down right now? Urgent business support is the faster path.

What we can handle remotely

We support small businesses two ways: onsite in your office, and remotely for eligible issues where available. Which one we use depends on the problem, not on what’s convenient for us. We’ll pick whatever gets your team back to work soonest and explain why. Remote handling tends to suit problems that live in software, accounts, and configuration rather than in hardware.

Microsoft 365, business email, and accounts

Adding, changing, or removing a user. Mailbox and permission problems. Business email that isn’t sending, receiving, or syncing correctly. Settings and licensing questions. We work with Microsoft 365 as an independent local IT provider; we don’t claim a Microsoft partnership or authorization.

Security tools, monitoring, and backup checks

Reviewing and adjusting the cybersecurity tools and monitoring we’ve put in place, checking that backups are actually running and restorable, and following up on something a tool has flagged. Good security reduces risk and improves recovery; it can’t make any business unhackable, and we won’t tell you otherwise.

Workstations, software, and everyday user problems

Business computers behaving badly, applications and printers that need configuring, updates and settings, and the everyday “this stopped working for one person” issues that stall a desk. Where the cause is software or configuration, there’s a good chance we can get to it without a visit.

Remote support is available for eligible issues, where available. It depends on the problem, your setup, and whether the work can be done safely and completely through a connection. It isn’t a universal or unlimited channel, and we’ll tell you upfront when something falls outside it.

When remote isn’t the right tool

Some problems need someone physically present, and remote work simply cannot solve them:

  • Hardware faults: a workstation that won’t power on, a failing drive, a broken screen or port, a machine that needs parts.
  • Anything you have to plug in, move, swap, or physically inspect: a router or switch, cabling, a printer, a device installed at a desk.
  • Network and physical-infrastructure work in your office, and new device setup done on the equipment itself.
  • A machine that won’t get online or won’t boot: if we can’t reach it, we can’t work on it remotely.

When your issue is one of these, we’ll stop and route you to business onsite support, or a device drop-off at Wilmington or Jacksonville. Business devices with a hardware fault are checked in like any other repair: a $50 diagnostic deposit at check-in for computers and Macs (credited to the repair), no work without your approval, and typically a 2–3 business-day queue before a device reaches a technician’s bench. We don’t do mail-in or ship-in repairs.

How remote support fits with everything else we do

Remote is a way we deliver support, not a separate product with its own plan. It shows up in all three of the ways businesses work with us, and we always tell you which bucket a request falls into.

Ongoing support

On ongoing Small Business IT Support, remote handling is simply part of how we look after your devices, Microsoft 365, security, and backups, alongside onsite help. Ongoing support isn’t “everything forever”: specific projects, licensing, and new hardware are quoted separately.

One-time projects and on-demand help

You don’t need an ongoing agreement to get help. Project work is a defined job, scoped and quoted on its own, and a good deal of it can be done remotely where it’s eligible.

Something down right now

If your business is currently down, don’t fill in a form and wait. Calling is faster. See urgent business support. We help both ongoing-support businesses and businesses we’ve never met, and no contract is required. We can’t promise a specific response time or that every problem is fixable immediately; what we promise is fast triage, an honest assessment, a clear next step, and steady communication.

How it works: discovery first

The best place to start is a short discovery conversation. We ask about your business, the devices and systems involved, what is happening, and what outcome you need. From there, we recommend a practical approach and explain whether the work is best handled remotely, onsite, in one of our stores, or through a combination of those methods.

For a one-time project, we define the scope and provide a custom quote before chargeable project work begins. For ongoing Small Business IT Support, we prepare a customized recommendation and recurring monthly plan based on the services your business needs. You can review the recommendation, scope, and cost before deciding whether to proceed.

What we’re honest about

  • We’re a local team during business hours, not a 24/7 staffed help desk. We’ll be clear about what that means for timing.
  • We don’t promise a response time or a resolution time. We triage honestly, tell you the next step, and keep you informed.
  • Remote support is for eligible issues where available, not everything and not everywhere.
  • We’re built for local small businesses, generally up to about fifteen workstations. We don’t run a 24/7 operations center, offer unlimited support, do full enterprise server administration or co-managed enterprise IT, run a security operations center, or provide penetration testing or compliance certification. If you’ve outgrown that, we’ll tell you plainly.

Business remote support is not our consumer remote service

Looking for help with a personal or family computer at home? You want our residential service instead: different intake, different pricing, and a page written for households: residential remote support. Business remote support starts with a discovery conversation about your business rather than a single-session request, and it’s quoted for your business rather than sold at a published session rate. The residential remote price does not apply to business work.

We’re locally owned, with stores in Wilmington and Jacksonville, and we support small businesses across Eastern North Carolina, onsite and remotely for eligible issues where available. Business remote support FAQ

For many issues, yes. We support small businesses onsite across Eastern North Carolina and remotely for eligible issues where available. Which we use depends on the problem. We pick whatever gets your team back to work soonest and explain the choice.

Anything that needs physical access: hardware faults, a machine that won’t power on or get online, devices that need to be plugged in, moved, or swapped, cabling and in-office network work, and printers that need handling. When that’s the case we’ll stop and route you to onsite support or a store.

There’s no generic public rate. After a short discovery conversation we send a customized recommendation and a custom quote: a recurring monthly plan for ongoing support, or a project quote for a defined job. Third-party licensing and hardware are stated separately, and nothing chargeable starts until you approve.

No. That’s our consumer service for personal and home computers, with its own intake and published session pricing, at residential remote support. Business remote support starts with a discovery conversation and is quoted for your business; the residential price doesn’t apply.

We don’t promise a specific response time, because it depends on the problem and what access we have. We’re a local team during business hours, not a 24/7 staffed help desk. We triage honestly, tell you the next step, and keep you informed. Business down right now? Calling is faster; see urgent business support.
