Are you concerned about your privacy online? If you said yes, you are like many online users. Your browser is an online chronicle of your thoughts and activities. Every question you have searched, to news articles you’ve read, and any other interest that you do online is recorded. All of that information makes you valuable for online advertisers. Here are some non-intrusive alternatives that don’t take all your information.
DuckDuckGo
It was originally created as a search engine to oppose Google’s data collection. However, it has grown to have its own browsers. It forces encrypted HTTPS encryptions whenever available. It also prevents advertisers from using trackers on the sites you visit. The company promises not to track any browsing history. It lets you know how much a site tracks you by rating any site you visit with a rating A-F.
Ghostery
Like DuckDuckGo, Ghostery started out as a browser extension. Its purpose was to highlight and block advertising tracking. It now has mobile apps in addition to the browser extensions. In addition, it prevents social media tracking tools, advertising trackers, and other analytical tools.
Firefox Focus
Mozilla is not new to the browser game. Firefox was introduced back in 2002, but Mozilla is trying to set itself apart by highlighting privacy. Mozilla released Firefox Focus for mobile users that automatically blocks advertising adverts. It accomplishes this with hidden cookies and allows the deletion of all cookies and browser data with the press of one button. Mozilla states that with the fewer ads, your browsing speeds increase.
Brave

It doesn’t store your online activity and blocks advertiser trackers that follow your web traffic. The default settings automatically block plugins and potential malware. Brave doesn’t rely on browser extensions and has its own desktop browser.
