

Not everyone enjoys Apple’s virtual assistant, Siri. If you fall into that camp, we’re going to show you how to disable Siri. This way, it won’t pop up unexpectantly.
Disable Siri On An iPhone or iPad
Disabling Siri is a straightforward process. To begin, open up the Settings app on your device. Scroll until you find the Siri & Search option. Tap on it to open up the Siri settings. Following this, toggle the follow settings off:
- Listen for “Hey Siri”
- Press Side Button for Siri
- Allow Siri When Locked
Once these options are toggled off, Siri is disabled.
Other Siri Options
Siri is more than just an assistant. Siri also offers a range of suggestions from the app to notifications on the lock screen. These can get annoying at times but also be turned off. Once in the Siri settings, scroll to the Siri Suggestions settings. Lastly, toggle the following off to fully disable all of the Siri features:
- Suggestions in Search
- Suggestions in Lookup
- Suggestions in Lock Screen
