FaceID and TouchID are a quick and secure way to access your phone. Apple developed a state of the art biometric technology for every iPhone since the iPhone 5S. Apple removed the home button, starting with the iPhone X. It replaced TouchID with FaceID. However, not everyone enjoys these features. Find out how to disable them below.

Disable Biometric Features

Apple makes disabling these features as simple as flipping a switch. Open up your Settings app and scroll until you find the Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID and Passcode. A popup appears requiring your four or six-digit passcode. Once entered, you toggle the biometric settings off.  Once disabled, the only way to unlock your device will be with the pin code.
