Connect Your iPhone To A Controller

Apple has introduced its Arcade gaming service with iOS 13. Apple Arcade is a subscription service that costs $4.99/ month. If using the touch screen makes playing games on your phone tough, you’re in luck. Apple has created the ability to connect an Xbox or PS4 controller to your phone via Bluetooth. Turn on the Bluetooth for your controller, and your iPhone will scan for available devices. Lastly, select your controller, and you’re ready to start playing!

Dark Mode

Another long-awaited feature is a system-wide Dark Mode. It gives the entire iOS a dark color scheme, which can save battery and is easier on the eyes in low light environments. There is a toggle in the Control Panel that allows the mode to be turned on and off quickly. In addition to iOS, there are several 3rd party apps that it is being integrated with.

iMessage

Finding text messages are easier in iOS 13. Open up the iMessage app and pull down from the top of the screen. This will bring a search bar up that will allow you to search for messages, links, or photos you have sent and received.

Reading Goals

With the Apple Books app, you can create reading goals. The default is five minutes, but you can create custom goals for up to 24 hours.

Block Calls

iOS 13 gives users the ability to block unknown callers. The feature only applies to numbers, not in your contacts or recently called list. Check out our article about this feature!

Emojis

There is now a button to bring up all of the emojis available. This may seem trivial, but before the update navigating to the emojis wasn’t as straight forward. This was even more challenging if you have multiple languages available on your device.

These are just some of the new features that users have requested with the latest iOS. Check out this link for more of the cool features introduced in the update! If found this article interesting or helpful, check out our other posts!
