Microsoft Teams is the answer for a user-friendly digital collaboration software for business professionals and corporations. It’s designed to compete with Slack and will eventually replace Skype for Business.

What Is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft created Teams as a collaborative communications app for all business professionals, whether you’re a freelancer or part of a large corporation. Microsoft Teams integrates seamlessly with Office 365. It allows users to share files, meet, and collaborate in real-time through a desktop app or web-based app. Additionally, there are mobile versions compatible with Android and Apple devices.

Functionality

Teams makes it easy to organize the various interpersonal interactions that are required for businesses to operate. As most of us are working home, it makes operating a business remotely much easier. It’s not limited to business. It can be used for any group that needs digital collaboration or communication.

Once an organization is created in Teams, you can invite people to it. These people can be organized into specific teams like marketing, logistics, etc. Depending on the settings, users can create public or private channels for sharing files, creating threads, and more.

The Cost

The Free version of teams allows the creation of an organization, up to 300 people, and 10gb of cloud storage. If you need more users, storage, more features, or integration with SharePoint, paid plans start at $5 per user. For more integrations and data capacity, there are higher-tiered plans.
