Instagram gives its users the freedom to change the font in their stories, but not in their profile details, captions, and comments. Find out how to skirt those limitations and add some flare to your Instagram account.
Custom Fonts On Instagram
Instagram’s standard font is Proxima Nova for comments and profile details. Unfortunately, Instagram doesn’t allow you to change it, but there is a way to get around the standard font. Instagram supports most Unicode scripts, which include mathematical symbols, Greek symbols, and Hebrew letters. It also includes some basic letter styles like 𝒶 𝒽𝒶𝓃𝒹𝓌𝓇𝒾𝓉𝓉𝑒𝓃 𝓈𝒸𝓇𝒾𝓅𝓉, 𝔞 𝔊𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔠 𝔰𝔱𝔶𝔩𝔢, and ⓛⓔⓣⓣⓔⓡⓢ ⓘⓝ ⓒⓘⓡⓒⓛⓔⓢ.
Adding Different Fonts To Instagram
While you can sub out letters and symbols with your keyboards, it’s easier to copy and paste from a different source. Head over to CoolFont.org on your smartphone. It displays roughly 100 different text options, some being much easier to read than others.
The site allows you to decorate each option with symbols (if you want to). Once the text is the way you like it, hit the Copy button, and then paste it into any Instagram field. This technique will work with other social media sites that support Unicode like Facebook and Twitter.
