Change Your Username On A Web Browser

Twitter makes it easy to change your Username on a web browser. Firstly, log in to your Twitter account on any web browser. Once logged in, look at the Sidebar on the left side of the page. Find the ellipses button; it’s located above the button to compose a Tweet.

Next, in the new pop window, find the option for Settings and privacy. Once in the settings menu, click the option for Account and then Username. Click on your old Username and type out your new desired name. Twitter will tell you if that Username is already in use; once you make the change hit the blue Save button.

Change Your Username On A Mobile Device

The process of changing your Username on a mobile device, like an iPhone or Android device, is similar to the process on a web browser. Firstly, open the app on your device. Click on your profile avatar in the top left corner of the screen. Following this, select Settings and privacy. Navigate to your Account then Username settings. Lastly, enter your new Username and tap Continue, then Done. These changes should take effect immediately. If you don’t, restart the app.
